MAKE UP FOR EVER introduces new products for a flawless, luminous complexion. MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Soft Light Highlighter.
Since you can’t have too much of a good thing, the company is extending its Ultra HD offering – which was developed for actors on pore-revealing high definition TV – with a light foundation for the makeup averse and a liquid highlighter. Both debuted in March.
Ultra HD Soft Light is a unique liquid highlighter concocted with mother-of-pearl and synthetic mica to reflect light. In addition, it’s blended with elastomer silicone to fill fine lines.
A pea-sized amount of the $29 illuminator mixed into foundation lends all-over radiance. Choose from four hues – pink pearl, golden champagne, pink copper and golden copper.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Perfector Foundation
Ultra HD Perfector, the new foundation, is designed “for the non-makeup wearer,” providing sheer-to-medium coverage and SPF 25 sunscreen.
Designed for easy, quick application, Ultra HD Perfector has moisturizing properties and acts as “a weightless, blurring skin tint” for a fresh complexion. Offered in 10 shades, a tube costs $36.
MAKE UP FOR EVER was founded by professional French makeup artist and educator Dany Sanz, who wanted products for the stage that weren’t run-of-the-mill. She starting mixing them in her kitchen and cut the ribbon on MAKE UP FOR EVER’s first boutique in 1984 in Paris.
Makeup mavens were instantly attracted to the brand’s wide array of colors and attention to professional needs.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Star Lit Glitter Palette
“The eye shadows were a major game-changer,” Sanz recalled in an interview with WWD. “I created a tray of 100 colors, from black to white; nothing like them existed on the market.”
At MAKE UP FOR EVER’s only Dallas store on Level One near Nordstrom, sales associates will guide you through the dazzling array of products, colors and glitter.
And if you’re not sure how to use the beauty gear, book a 90-minute, one-on-one makeup tutorial in exchange for a $100 product purchase or an hourlong makeup application for a $60 purchase. It’s well worth it to learn how to apply makeup for the effect you want, be it a natural look or high drama.
Sanz remains creative director of the brand, which is now under the umbrella of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. MAKE UP FOR EVER is sold only through its own channels and Sephora, which is also owned by LVMH.
